Cypra's Dilemma WIP

This is from my sketch:

You know you've been working on a project too long when you're still working on it 2 expansions later. I still want to shade more and add some details, like the spell cooldowns and such, but it's in the final stage. It's been through many stages of development and redrawing, and it's been one of those drawings I've learned so much from. I've never done such a complicated picture with so many different creatures and lighting, so this was a daunting project for me from the get-go, but very rewarding at the same time. The style of the initial drawing is a bit different from how I draw now, but since it's for a friend I didn't want to let it go. Therefore, some of the figures are a bit stiff, but oh well. He was happy with the sketch I gave him years ago, but doing it in color is so much more fun!

Inspiration: He would always run my lowbies through dungeons with his main and try to get all the bosses in one go. He was a good player, but mages are inherently squishy, and every so often he'd die. Blackrock depths had a very interesting array of bosses, and so I picked that dungeon for him to take on in this picture. He was convinced, when he saw the sketch, that he could handle this situation, too. Good mages definitely have a suicidal tendency with their toons.
