Well I'm starting to get back into the hang of things when it comes to art. I've been studying an anatomy book. I've really gotten out of practice since high school, but it's coming back to me. I was happily surprised to find so many photoshop tutorials here at DA ... you have no idea how much I've always wanted to learn some techniques to draw with photoshop.

I have no intention of giving up traditional drawing and painting, but at this point in my life, I have no time or space to paint, and I've decided it's time to practice and learn a bit more about colored pencils before I try again. I was a bit disappointed with how rusty I've gotten.

Again I don't really write journals very often, but it has been a few months now since I joined, and it's probably time for a new one.

Oh and since I'm writing this on March 17th: Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I'm not too big on writing journals, but why not at least one to begin my "deviant" life.
I just barely submitted art today. I've drawn all my life (off and on), but never submitted art online until now. I'm still trying to figure out how to navigate this site.

You'll learn soon enough that as of yet my work is unfinished. I don't know any other artists, so I feel like I need some critiques before I start coloring with some of these. I always worry I haven't worked hard enough on the rough draft, so when I get to my colored pencils I'm afraid of ruining it.
However, if people comment I'll probably take the critiques to smooth out my work and finish everything.

So please comment! I would love to know how to improve my work, and also to know what you liked about it.

Anyway, I hope people like my work. I'll see how it all goes, I guess. Haha, I'm nervous to see how people comment on my art, or even if people comment ....
